Ministries:
By individual selection, covering many local Church and Community services. Our group ministry, under the
direction of Betty Peytavin, takes us 40 miles to Baton Rouge. This includes serving lunch once a month at the St.
Vincent de Paul Dining Room. The Bishop Ott Shelters involve home food preparation, delivering, and serving the
Women's Shelter once a year, and the Men's Shelter three times a year. This food is paid for by our members.
Meetings:
Meetings are held monthly in the Chapel, except for summer months.
Meetings begin with praying the rosary, Traditional Marist Intercessions, and the Prayer for the Society. A
teaching with handouts is taken from the Marist Formation Books or one of Fr. Keel's talks, and sharing is
encouraged. We have Eucharistic Benediction if a priest is present.
Special activites:
Yearly Day of Recollection and yearly Mass for deceased Marist Laity.
