Second Marist Laity National Conference in the USA
Boston Marriott Quincy, MA April 15-18, 2004

Report from Patricia Zirkel
Excerpts from the Evaluations
I have gained a better understanding of my life as a Marist, and my life as a Marist has been re-affirmed.
I have received re-enforcement of Marist ideals.
The Conference caused me to want to be a better Marist. I want to have more contact with other Marists.
I am looking for...
• a deeper spirituality; more prayer; spiritual direction; contemplation and reflection…
• more contact with other Marists
• community
• more collaboration among all Marist branches
• a better understanding of Mary and the Marist way. I want to spread devotion to Mary. I want to learn how
to emulate Mary.
It was wonderful to see Marists from the ‘whole world.’ I enjoyed the ‘family’ atmosphere; an excellent mix of
liturgy and fellowship.
The Conference was uplifting and informative with many excellent presentations.
