+MEETING IN DARIEN, IL (09OCT05) This meeting gathered both Vowed and Lay Marists from all four branches of the family: Sisters (SM), Fathers & Brs (SM), Missionnary Sisters (SMSM) and Brothers (FMS). Its purpose was to decide whether or not the Family committee would continue to exist and what would be its mission. At the end of the meeting, the following guidelines were accepted: The MFLSC serves all Lay Marists. The purpose of the Committee is to foster communication and collaboration through the sharing of resources and ideas, thus facilitating a greater understanding and living of Marist Spirituality and furthering the Work of Mary.
